Research Assistant Professors
The Department is seeking outstanding candidates for Research Assistant Professorships.
Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree; (ii) an established track record of outstanding publications in any of the areas of research of the department including: ASIC/VLSI IC design, biomedical engineering, digital signal processing and related areas in speech and image processing, electronic materials and nanotechnologies, photonics and optical communications, power electronics, wireless and microwave communication technologies, computer vision and machine learning, and robotics and medical devices. Experience in preparing research grant applications will be an advantage.
The appointees will (a) teach courses at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels; (b) participate in independent and joint research programmes; (c) apply for external research grants; (d) provide service at departmental, faculty and/or university levels.
Appointments will initially be made on contract basis for up to three years, renewable subject to mutual agreement.

Salary will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The University offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package, including medical care, plus a contract-end gratuity for appointments of two years or longer and housing benefits for eligible appointees.
