Positive Workplace Coaster Design Competition 2026 - Live Healthily and Shine Daily

A healthy body and a positive mindset help us shine at work. Staying healthy both physically and mentally can uplift our daily lives, engage and create a workplace filled with positivity and energy, and empower us to approach challenges with greater resilience and confidence.

Do you have any personal tips for building and sustaining good health and positivity at work? Share with us your favourite quote, motto or catchphrase that inspires you to stay healthy at work by joining the PWSD coaster design competition.

Selected designs will be featured in PWSD’s promotional materials and be used to create unique PWSD coasters, spreading positivity and well-being across our University community.

What to submit (summary):

• A quote / motto / catchphrase that promotes good health and motivates colleagues to enhance their physical or mental well-being at work, with
• An original background design echoing the theme (hand-drawn or digital artwork, including photos). The submitted artwork should be square in shape and no larger than 15 cm (W) × 15 cm (H).

Tip: Keep your message positive, inclusive and easy to understand. Practical wellness ideas often resonate well.

Eligibility for Participation:

• Individual Category - All full-time CUHK appointees
• Family Category - For full-time CUHK appointees and their family member(s)

[Each participant/participating unit will receive a souvenir as a token of appreciation for his/her support to this PWSD initiative.]

• Only one entry per category will be accepted for each participant.

Specifications:
The submission should consist of the following TWO components:

1. Your favourite quote, work motto or catchphrase that promotes good health, motivates colleagues to stay healthy and enhance their physical or mental well-being at work, and
2. An original background design echoing the theme, which can be hand-drawn or a digital artwork (including photos) and should be square-shaped.

Enrollment & submission:

• Complete an online entry form.
• Format of the entry:
  (i) For hand-drawn artworks, please upload a digital or scanned copy* of the design via the online entry form and submit the original artwork to the PWSD Committee (Attn.: Committee on Positive Workplace and Staff Development, c/o Ms. Angel Leung, Human Resources Office, CUHK);
  (ii) For digital artworks or photos, please submit the design via the online entry form in either .JPG or .PDF format in the designated size*.
  
  * with resolution of 300 dpi or above and file size up to 10MB

Assessment Criteria and Selection Panel:

• 35% - Relevance to the theme
• 35% - Artwork Design and Presentation
• 30% - Creativity and Originality

Selection Panel: Committee on Positive Workplace and Staff Development (the PWSD Committee) or its delegated Panel

Prizes:

• Individual Category
  -  Champion (x1): HK$3,000
  -  1st runner-up (x1): HK$2,000
  -  2nd runner-up (x1): HK$1,000
  -  Merit Award (x3): HK$500
  
  
• Family Category
  - Family award (x2) : HK$2,000
  
  
• PAW Prize* (x5): HK$500

* All entries will be posted on the Positivity And Wellness (PAW) platform (at the Human Resources Office’s homepage) for two weeks for colleagues’ voting. The 5 most popular entries (with the highest number of votes) will be awarded the PAW Prize.

Remark: The PWSD Committee reserves the right to decide whether all prizes will be awarded based on the number and quality of entries.

• All entries must be first published and original works, which have not been submitted to any exhibitions or competitions, and must not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party. Participants agree to grant the PWSD Committee the right to use, reproduce and publish the submitted design for promotional and related purposes.
• The PWSD Committee reserves full right to make decisions on all matters related to this competition.
